Advanced Calling Card Options (MinFlex) |
|
Tuesday, 10 July 2007 |
This guide describes how to calculate IVR announced time settings based on desired parameters. Note that this feature is available on specific hardware and/or software devices. Please see Compatibility section of this document for list of supported equipment.
How to enable this featureThe feature is disabled by default. To enable it, please go to Tools > Options and check Advanced Rating Features under Calling Card section. CalculationThe following formulas apply: - RateMin = Card Amount / IVR announced call time (minutes)
- MinFlex = Real cutoff time (minutes) / IVR announced call time (minutes) * 60 seconds
How to calculate proper valuesLets do an example here. Suppose, you would like to have IVR to announce remaining 37 minutes with $2 calling card, but in fact you need call to be cutoff after 33 minutes. Here is how to make a calculation: - Divide $2 by 37 minutes to get Rate per minute. We got: $2 / 37 min = $0.054054 per minute. This is Rate per minute which you need to enter in RateMin when creating Rate item for that destination.
- To get call cutoff at 33 minutes, divide 33 minutes by 37 minutes and then multiply by 60 seconds. We got: 33 min / 37 min * 60 sec = 53 sec. This is value of Seconds in minute (MinFlex) field.
- Now you can setup Increment, Minimum duration and Grace time attributes. They are non-related to MinFlex feature and can be set independently.
CompatibilityFollowing equipment is confirmed to support IVR annonce time different than call cutoff duration: - Quintum gateways, anaolg and digital, A, AX, D, DX series (first and second generation);
- All Cisco gateways with IVR TCL version 2.0 script support, providing that TCL script supports this feature. Please ask us if you need help with TCL scripts.
- DataTechLabs ArrowSwitch (hosted and standalone versions)
